Alternanthera is a light loving houseplant which will thrive off of exposure to bright, direct light. This plants variegation will deepen with exposure to optimal lighting.
Water and Soil
Water thoroughly, then let the top inch of soil get dry before watering again. This plants soil should be kept moist, but do not allow it to become wet or soggy. A standard well-draining potting mix works well.
Temperature and Humidity
Alternanthera will prefer a temperature between 65 and 85 degrees F. plant does not require additional humidity, but it will benefit from higher levels. You can provide your plant with extra humidity through a pebble tray or humidifier, or through regularly moistening the air with a misting bottle.
