Care Guide
Light
To thrive, these Crocodile ferns need medium or diffused light. Direct sunlight should be avoided.
Water and Soil
Crocodile Ferns like evenly moist soil, and should be watered when the top 1-2" of their potting mix is dry. Guard against overwatering by checking the soils moisture level visually along with your finger before watering. These plants require a well draining yet absorbent medium, and like most ferns will do best with some peat moss or coco coir in their potting mix. Perlite, charcoal or bark is helpful for added drainage.
Temperature and Humidity
Household temperatures from 70 to 80 degrees F is best for the Crocodile Fern. These ferns love added humidity, and this can be provided with a mister, humidifier, or pebble tray.
