Foxtail Fern | Asparagus aethiopicus
The Foxtail Fern is native to South Africa and is closely related to the vegetable asparagus. Although not a true fern, this plant has needle-like leaflets that form soft fluffy fronds which closely resemble a fox tail.

These ferns prefer bright to medium indirect light. Direct sunlight should be avoided.
Water and Soil
Foxtail Fern must stay evenly moist at all times but take care to not let the plant stand in water. Well-draining soil that is amended with peat moss and perlite is best for these plants.
Temperature and Humidity
This plant typically prefers temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to 80 degrees F but can tolerate cooler temperatures. Likes standard household humidity levels but can benefit from an occasional misting, pebble tray, or humidifier.
