Care Guide

Light

The Peace Lily will do best in medium to bright indirect light. These plants will tolerate a wide range of light conditions; including low light. However, direct light can burn this plants foliage, and it should be avoided.

Water and Soil

The Peace Lily prefers to be kept evenly moist, meaning it should never be overly wet or dry. A good rule of thumb is to only water when the top 1-2” of soil are dry. If a Peace Lily goes too long between watering and becomes very thirsty, it will display this by “drooping” its leaves. A well-draining soil is essential, and this can be achieved by amending a standard potting mix with perlite and peat.

Temperature and Humidity

The Peace Lily prefers temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees F. Peace Lilies are sensitive to cold, and temperatures below 60 degrees may damage this plants foliage. This plant will appreciate the added benefit of increased humidity, but will also tolerate the standard humidity found in the average home.
