Care Guide

Light

The Money Tree will thrive in a variety of exposures, but medium to bright indirect light is preferable. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can be damaging to the Money Tree’s foliage.

Water and Soil

Money Tree's like to be kept evenly moist. These plants do not like their soil to dry out completely, and would like to receive water once the top 2” of their soil has dried. Like most houseplants, Money Trees are susceptible to root rot if their soil remains too wet or soggy. Amending a standard well-draining potting soil with peat moss will help to keep your plants roots evenly moist, while the addition of perlite or bark will ensure that proper drainage and root aeration are provided.

Temperature and Humidity

The Money Tree prefers room temperatures between 60 and 85 degrees F. Drafty areas, and temperatures below 60 degrees should be avoided, as cold can be damaging to this plants foliage. The Money Tree prefers moderate to high humidity levels. Additional humidity can be achieved through a humidifier, pebble tray, or regular misting.
