Care Guide

Podocarpus needs very bright indirect sunlight to thrive. Low light should be avoided for Podocarpus.

Water and Soil

Podocarpus prefers to be kept evenly moist. This plant cannot tolerate wet or soggy soil. Allow the top 2” of soil to dry out between waterings. Podocarpus will do best in a well draining soil with plenty of perlite/chunky mediums for drainage, and coco coir/absorbent mediums for moisture.

Temperature and Humidity

Podocarpus does fine at normal household temperatures, but should not be allowed to drop below 50 degrees F. Podocarpus tolerates average home humidity levels as well, but will benefit from added humidity from a pebble tray or mister.
