Care Guide

Light

Prefers medium to bright, filtered or indirect light. Avoid direct light which may damage foliage. Also avoid dark corners as the variegation on this plant makes it require brighter light.

Water and Soil

The Variegated Ginger prefers to be kept evenly moist, meaning it should never be overly wet or too dry. A standard well-draining potting soil works just fine for this plant.

Temperature and Humidity

Prefers temperatures between 65 degrees F and 80 degrees F. Although it can sometimes tolerate colder temperatures, don't let temperatures fall below 55 degrees F as this may damage foliage. Does well at standard household humidity levels but does benefit from occasional misting for additional humidity. Placing in a naturally humid area like the kitchen or bathroom may be beneficial.
