Concerned about ordering plants during cold weather? Our Winter Shipping Insurance offers a guarantee of safe arrival, so you can have peace of mind that your plants will arrive unaffected by low temperatures. While we guarantee a happy and healthy plant upon delivery, this option adds protection specifically against cold weather. We typically ship all live plant orders out within 1 to 2 business days and delivery is usually within 1 to 5 days later (more information about: Shipping & Handling).

When you purchase our Winter Shipping Insurance we will evaluate your order to determine what measures are needed to ensure a safe delivery. Based on temperatures, species of plants ordered, and other determining factors, we will package your shipment accordingly to make certain your plants are protected from low temperatures. Precautionary measures may include extra insulation, heat packs, or arranging for delayed shipment. In cases of extreme cold, we may determine that it is best to delay shipment for a few days, until warmer weather is forecast.

We are glad to guarantee happy and healthy delivery year-round, and just ask that you send photos immediately upon delivery if you have any concerns. During winter months, low temperatures make taking additional precautions necessary. If Winter Shipping Insurance is purchased and your plants still somehow suffer cold damage, we will either replace (so long as we still have the plant available) or offer a refund or store credit. If Winter Shipping Insurance is not purchased and your plants suffer from cold damage, we are not able to issue a full refund/replacement, however, we will work with you on a partial credit or replacement options.
